Icelandic designer Hildur Yeoman has her namesake brand and store in Reykjavik. She makes women’s clothing and is recognized for both the good aesthetics of her designs and the narrative meaning behind it. For each collection she develops, she creates a fresh and magical environment with a distinct narrative. Her tales cover a wide variety, from witchcraft and Icelandic herbs to her biker grandmother’s trip across the United States with a motorcycle gang. She uses traditional Icelandic craft techniques, which in her hands manifest in fresh and interesting ways. One of the most notable parts of her designs are the enchanted prints.
Although she is not yet very well known on a global scale, she is big in Iceland and artists like Taylor Swift, Kehlani and the Icelandic Björk have been seen in clothes by Hildur.
If you are ever in Reykjavik, check out her boutique! Until then, here is her website where you can buy her beautiful work and here is her IG profile.
