Rafael Guerrero is a visual artist born in 1980, with a Master’s in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona. His work is a vibrant exploration of cultural collisions and the complexities of displacement.
A resident of Denmark since 2011, his visual work uniquely explores Danish culture, examining the motifs of his region of origin and connecting them in an interesting way with the Nordic landscape and their people.
He has permanently artworks in the L’Arxiu of MACBA (Museum of Contemporary Art of Barcelona), the Tecnocampus of Mataró, the Cambra de la Propietat Urbana de Barcelona, the Library of the Faculty of Arts at PUCP (Pontifical Catholic University of Peru), and in private collections in Denmark and Spain.
His studio is located in the Nordvest neighborhood of Copenhagen, Denmark, where he creates limited editions from several of his original works, produces artist books, and works full-time as a painter.
